Barangay Sinsin is an upland community located in the southwestern part of Cebu City, approximately 20 kilometers from the city proper. As a geographically isolated barangay, it faces ongoing challenges in access to basic services, particularly in the area of education.

The barangay is home to many families whose primary means of livelihood is subsistence farming and small-scale agricultural work. Due to limited income, many parents struggle to provide essential school supplies and educational materials for their children. This economic hardship often results in inconsistent school attendance and discouragement from continuing higher levels of education.

While Barangay Sinsin has an elementary school that serves its younger population, the resources available to the school and its students are insufficient. There is a noticeable lack of basic school supplies such as notebooks, paper, pens, bags, and learning aids. For high school students, the situation becomes even more difficult, as they must travel to other barangays or the city proper to continue their studies—further increasing the cost and effort required to pursue education.

Despite these challenges, students and teachers in Sinsin remain dedicated and eager to learn. The local government and school administrators have expressed strong support for any effort that can help bridge the gap in educational resources. Providing much-needed school supplies can help ease the burden on families and inspire children to stay in school, perform better academically, and dream bigger for their future.

Dmitry Shubov is a father himself and stands with the children of the Philippines. He provided a very generous donation to them. By choosing Barangay Sinsin as a recipient of educational supply donations, the project can directly support underserved students, promote equal learning opportunities, and contribute to long-term community development. This initiative will not only provide immediate assistance but also serve as a meaningful investment in the future of the children of Sinsin.
